I've been pushing for Paul Johnson as the next GT coach, but Grobe makes the most sense. I think we could get him.

Yeah, I know, "wait til the end of the season", but seriously, 1.) I can't wait that long and 2.) I can dream can't I?

I don't think that would happen BOR, he would be a great choice though. I just don't see that happening.

What about Kentucky's Rich Brooks?

He is on the Bobby Dodd watch list.

demjackets, yes, we could get Grobe. We are Georgia Tech.

I'm old school. I believe very much in the "If you can't beat 'em, Hire 'em!" philosophy.

Norm Chow? I actually saw him at the Airport in LA a few months ago.

It would take a lot and we wouldn't try, I haven't seen his contract details but I will look into it at work Monday, I know it runs till 2016 though.

Paul Johnson is my favorite, but Grobe would be an outstanding choice.

The thing you look for is team discipline. And Wake Forest shows just as much discipline as Navy.

Grobe might actually be easier to get than Johnson, considering salaries.

Gailey: $1,009,191
Johnson: $1,003,309
Grobe: $987,743

Steve Mariucci?

He'd probably want something high profile like the Michigan job, though.

So long as we are throwing out names...Houston Nutt?

He is supposidly on the hot seat at Arkansas. I have no idea why as he has done a hell of a job there IMO. At least from Atlanta it looks like he has done a great job.

I think he has done a good job there for the most part but No he will never be the coach at GT.

IIRC, Alabama talked to Jim Grobe and he basically said "no way in hell." Like Schiano at Rutgers, he's happy there and he doesn't seem too attracted to the pressures going with a bigger job.

I bet he would jump to UVA if they wanted him.

He's one of the most unethical pieces of **** that it is the coachng ranks. If Arkansas fans can't take it, do you think GT fans could?
