What bowl game do we go to?

I read somewhere that had Clemson in the Gator bowl instead of us. Is this possible that Clemson goes to a better bowl than us?

Any of the teams that finished 4-4 or 5-3 in conference can be picked ahead of us, except the ones with 6-6 overall record.

Just a guess of course:

Orange: VT
CFA: FSU or GT
Gator: FSU or GT
Champs: BC or CU
Music City: BC or CU
Meineke: UNC
Emerald: Miami
Humanitarian: Maryland

or

Orange: BC
CFA: VT
Gator: GT
Champs: CU
Music City: FSU
...the rest the same.

Wake and NCSt will go bowling if there are a couple of slots left open by other conferences.

It looks like we should root for VT purely for bowl placement. In the world of crappy ACC bowl tie-ins, it's still way too possible BC goes to Orange, VT/FSU go to Peach/Gator and we get relegated to Champs.

I agree. VT wins, they're out of the way.

I can't believe the Peach bowl would take VT. They play here twice next year.

Peach Bowl. I read that they would take us if we beat ga but did not go to the ACCCG. The theory behind this is that they want a team that is on a win streak. We fit this mold.

My hope is that we'd play Ole Miss. However, this may be wishful thinking. Vandy, SC, or LSU would be the other choices for the Peach.

Better bowl? Chick-Fil-A bowl chooses before Gator. I have to think we will be in Atlanta on New Years Eve.

After looking at the SEC bowl tie-ins, Ole Miss will likely go to the Cotton Bowl.

It is, however, possible that the Capital One Bowl will take Ole Miss or the loser of the SECCG over ga.

If this is the case, ga goes to the Outback Bowl - which would be hilarious, IMO.

It seems most likely that it will be LSU, SC, or Vandy in the Peach. Pretty crappy SEC selections, if you ask me.

If we get screwed out of going to either the Peach or Gator, we should just leave the ACC, become an independent, and take on any program foolish enough to willingly face the wrath of Paul Johnson.

It is about midnight of the day of the ugag game, and I betcha DRad has some agreement with the Peach in hand.

I the peach/chicken bowl were to bypass us in that scenario, it would be time to organize a boycott of Chick-fil-a.

We'd have a hard time filling our schedule as an independent. I'd prefer putting Michael Johnson and Darryl Richards on opposite goal lines, and John Swofford on the fifty, then tell him he had to make it into one of the endzones.
