Just doing a little research before the game and I did not realize how much Wake runs the ball. From the 5 games they have played so far here are some averages of their play calling:

Passing: 20 attempts with 11 catches per game
Rushing: 57 rushes at 4.5/carry per game

They have won the time of posession battle in every game except NC State and they were close in that one. It seems they want to keep their pass defense off the field especially from what they showed this past weekend against Virginia. I do not know about you guys but I feel our defense is playing better than any one elses in the ACC and I think we may shut Wake down. We will have to have our weekside DE contain, but I see our linebackers running down alot of plays. Thoughts?

Wake will try to run the ball down your throat. Grobe's team is good fundamentally and very physical. They will try to play smash mouth football, and their QB will not lose the game for them. Defensively they play a 3-3-5. That alignment probably won't stop the running game, but they will work very hard to take the passing game away from us. My guess is that Ace will roll up some big yards, but our defense will be very, VERY tired by the end of the game. I'm also going to guess that we will be in for another dog fight.

My guess is:
Georgia Tech--27
Wake--20

Defensively, we'll have to sub guys along the front 7 pretty good to avoid being exhausted by the 4th quarter.

Our run defense is very strong.
Should be strength versus strength.

From my observations last year and so far this year, Wake Forest plays a very sound offense and defense. The only problem Wake has is its lack of talent as compared with the rest of the teams in the ACC.

They can play on a par with every team in the ACC as long as they play flawless. They can not afford to have any miscues. If their coach can recruit some good athletes, they will be a strong team in the near future.

Wake seems to lose most of their games in the latter part of the game. I assume it is due to poor depth in quality of players.

Wake fans feel their pass defense is very bad. Haven't checked any stats, but their attitude seems to be all you have to do to move the ball in the air is try. Should be interesting...do we try to go to the air more to take adavantage or do we stick with the running game.
