What did Canada do to deserve this?

NC State and UVA are playing in Rio? Dang, let’s get in on that.

Toronto…meh.

IDK, looks pretty scary to me. Do they have like paid escorts to show you around and stuff?

It'll be the break between the curling regional finals.
And between commercials for Tim Horton's.
And Sobey's.

I've not been to Rio but I've been to Toronto. It's not Montreal (or Vancouver) but it aight.

Well, Rios stadium isn't exactly near a beach. Looks ghetto as hell.

I agree. I have no desire to go to Toronto, but I would love to go to Rio.
I’ve been to Toronto. It’s fine, I guess I’d be willing to go back and see what it’s got for fun (I was there for work, but did go up in the tower and went to a Jays game), but Rio sounds like a more fun place to go to a football game.

I suspect that Syracuse being a 4.5 hour drive from Toronto has something to do with it. That, and the limited game options for a week 0 contest. People are pretty anxious to watch any college football by late August, and the locals might find it fun to go, since Canada has more interest in football than other international sites. If it's a success, they'll have better options in 2028.
