SEC avg donation levels 2010-14 ( Alabama did not provide numbers)
Link

1. $48.8M - Texas A&M
2. $45.1M - LSU
3. $44.3M - Florida
4. $33.8M - Auburn
5. $31.8M - Ole Miss
6. $28.5M - Arkansas
7. $26.9M - Georgia
8. $18.9M - Miss St
9. $13.7M - USCe

Since Jun 8, 2018 Georgia Tech has raised $28M which would put us aroun 6th in the SEC in only four months.... https://atfund.gatech.edu/AD-priorities

Problem is our high level of donations is coming at a time when the Georgia Tech football team is a dumpster fire... We can not have high level expectations for our Football program, but we do have a kick ass Volleyball team... I wonder if there will be a direct connection to our Football team and GTAA donations moving forward?

You mean since the start of a massive fundraising campaign? Kind of cherry picking numbers there...

My point is that with high level of donations comes high level expectations and if AD TStan is going to reach his goal...18 football wins in the last 4 seasons probably is not going to help the Campaign... Just a guess... The reason CPJ may retire sooner than later is that AD TStan will choose his Campaign over the Coach.... again just a guess

I think if you look at similar numbers for SEC schools (i.e. after they started recent donation drives rather than numbers from eight years ago) you'd find that our level of donations is low compared to theirs.

But I certainly agree that the season we are having during a donation campaign will put a lot of pressure on Stansbury.

Stansbury has never hired a revenue sport head coach. His record doesn’t indicate he is quick on he trigger or experienced at making these decisions.

Ok... I see your point... I am sure when a SEC school does a Campaign it is probably much more... But I agree I am comparing Apples to Oranges... However I am proud that the Tech Family has come up with 28M in four months....

My issue is that 10 years later, we are seeing the same problems that Coach Johnson himself identified 10 years ago. And there doesn’t appear to be even a hint of a plan that would give us hope to believe that if he is GT coach 10 years from now we won’t be seeing the same problems even then.

1) When he complained about defensive coaches early in his tenure, it was reasonable. Maybe the DC was a bad fit, or wasn’t as good up close as they appeared to be. But 3-4 DCs later that same reasoning wears thin. especially when you only have 18 wins in the last four years

2) When you’re complaining about people on the Oline not doing a good job early in your tenure I can understand that maybe you haven’t had time to install the plan and player development, but when I’m hearing the same stuff 10 years later it indicates that you really haven’t made the changes you knew you had to make.

I bet that the 28M does not grow as fast until we get a new coach....Time to rebuild

We're definitely not assured that the numbers here are measuring the same thing. For that matter, they may be under-reporting on our end rather than the SEC's. I've given money to the AT since 1-1-18 that, AFAIK, was not counted as part of the campaign effort.

I will agree on 1)

On 2), I remember our O-line being pretty good the first couple of years. It was A-back receiving that was terrible at CPJ's start. I think the O-line has been up and down, and it will probably continue to be up and down. Right now it is down and it sucks, but we also have several injuries. Yes, its CPJ's job to recruit depth, but it's also wrong to say there's no hint of a reason the Oline will improve when we will almost certainly improve as we recover from injuries.

This is money committed, not money added to our bank account. You're comparing apples to puppies.

Divert 1/28th if that to player pay and we could be as good as Ole Miss.
