what does Ohio State think about new JACKET...

They seemed pretty gracious about it. I now have some respect for Ohio State fans.

My take is that many osu fans are really caught up in the star system. They also have a bit of the "if he doesn't want us, we don't want him." Others are very gracious. The midwest is a great place other than the weather.

I think the OSU fans weren't exactly crushed for a few reasons:

1. They probably have numerous other recruits around this calibre.

2. There's little chance we'll play OSU in the next five years.

It's kind of like UNC in basketball recruiting. They don't recruit; they choose.

I'm really excited about this guy. Seems like a great fit for the Tenuta D. The line should always be a high priority. The next few years look bright.

GO JACKETS!

I like this guys take on it:

We had a poster on the board early in the recruiting year touting GaTech as up and coming. I was not ready to corronate the Jackets just yet, preferring to wait to see what they did on the field and on the recruiting trail. Now, a couple months later, I'd say GaTech has impressed in both areas. Watch out ACC! The Chan Man has things rolling. I personally really wanted the Buckeyes to get that kid. Congrats to the Jackets.

Sorry, the last post in the thread that is linked:
Re: DE Derrick Morgan set to announce...
This has to be really bad news for Penn State. Not only is "a picket fence" not being built around Pennsylvania, but the Nittany Lions didn't lose one of the state's top recruits to USC, or Ohio State, or scUM... they lost one of their own to Georgia (freaking) Tech. I bet JoPa is trotting off the field now heading to the potty after hearing that news. Both scenarios are troubling for the PSU program: JoPa unable to contain neither his bladder nor the in-state star recruits!
