I know its preseason stuff but its been a while since i have seen my jackets listed as a top ten team by ANYONE.

The problem is they have Tech at 10 and VPI at 7. If it were the last game of the year (ala Ohio State/Michigan) I could see this, but one of us has to lose (::COUGH:: Virginia Tech ::COUGH:: ) dropping the other out of the top 10.

This could be a special year for Tech. I don't have images of a National Championship dancing in my head, but we could certainly end they year better than any season since the turn of the millinium.
 
I saw that about VT, too. Honestly, if VT goes undefeated and we only lose to them, I'm not gonna feel too bad about it. That would mean an 11-1 regular season for us. If that happened, we're basically BCS bound. If a GT fan can't be excited with that... then they need to root for USC. IMHO, its very plausible TECH only loses one game. Time will tell.

It's actually worse than that. They also have Miami at #12 and Clemson at #18.

This is SEC-esque, where they put most of the East and a couple more teams from the West in the Top 15 because they don't have the rocks to predict which ones will end up losing.

I'm just ready for the season to get here so we can find out if that ranking is justified or not.
 
It is about time we get some respect from these publications first Athlon now CFN!!!!

These two publications show how totally biased and fallacious Rivals' #42 preseason ranking was.

We might be better than that - he has one of the bad things listed as losing Patrick Nix.
