Always enjoyed seeing some of the fans do this at every game (I am guessing it was students?). I do not see them anymore. When did this stop?

Thought they were still there. Guess I haven't been paying attention.
 
I met some of them a few years ago when we were tailgating next to them over on West Campus. They were slowly graduating and moving out of town as I understand it. I think there are a few around still, but not the same zealous group.

Slowly graduating? Those guys have been around since at least 2000. That's making a career out of school if graduation is the cause.
 
iirc it is a certain fraternity that has been carrying the tradition. I've seen them in games going back to 2001 Wake Forest. I noticed a couple of them in the North end zone but none in the south like usual

They're still going. There's been a lot of turnover at the GhettoBuzz position (the leader of the group). The first GB carried on into grad school, and led the group for like 7 years.

I don't know if they're having trouble getting the word out or what. We typically had 8-16 when I was there. If anyone still in school wants to join, PM your GT email and I'll get you added to the mailing list.
 
The goldfellas had a pretty robust showing last year, it is surprising to me that they weren't out there for Pitt...
