What happens if your #2 QB ends up being your best A-back?

Does he sit on the bench waiting to play QB or do you start him at A-back?

Since we have like 14 QB's after next year, I'd play him at A-back. This year may be different since we don't have as many able QB's.

I get the feeling he'd play A-Back. Because honestly, if the time came and he had to step under center, would it be that difficult of a transition in this offense?

He does? I only ever saw one QB used at Navy last year.
Check their stats or look at some film. He didn't play them evenly, but the backup had 464 yards rushing and threw 31 passes (the starter threw 98). Just because of the pounding a QB takes there will be a need for the #2 guy to take some snaps. Plus if he can find a changeup from the starter, someone who either runs or throws better, he will use him to screw up the D.

I don't think CPJ plans to play 2 QB's as much as he may do it out of necesity when the starter gets banged up. If the starter stayed healthy and needed to stay in every game to help us win, I feel sure he'd play the starter almost exclusively.

We'll see. Per most Navy posters he uses two.

PJ will use two or three, in the triple option the backup is one play away from being the starter. If said QB/A-Back is right handed he'll play the left slot.

The backup is always one play away from being the starter regardless of what offensive system is being used.

Sorry I offended you with the obvious, I will keep my insight of watching your new coach for many seasons and watching this offense and his tendencies evolve to myself...

You both spoke the obvious. No need for anyone to get their thong up their ass.

Don't worry about offending Kyle...he normally doesn't get it.

I speculate that we will not see very many people playing multiple positions during a season. We may see some switches between seasons, but not mid season. The offensive system requires too much individual instruction to expect any but the best players to learn multiple roles.

That'll do.

If we do see a switch midseason, I would expect it to be an 2nd string A-back going to receiver. WR in this offense alternates between "block your man" and "fake the block, then streak for the TD".

Et tu, Brute? Just kidding, I expected a little grief, I hope everyone will get used to me and come to realize I'm not here to cause any trouble, but as an interested supporter of PJ (& Coach Sewak), PJs system (yes it will work at this level and GT will prove it sooner rather than later), and the War on the YardPups (one of my favorite teams is whoever is playing them).
