this is something that really has not been addressed.

CG was an successful offensive coordinator in the pros.

It is reasonable to assume that if he would have hired his own man it would have been someone else.

We shoved BO'B down CG's throat b/c we have been so happy with our offense. It is TOO EARLY to start panicing, however we have reason to show concern.

I think CG needs to take a more active roll in the offensive gameplan.

We need all the help we can get.

A lot of folks blamed last years unimaginative play calling on O'leary 'holding BOB back'. I think it is time we wake up and realize that BOB is not the Fridge. The Fridge wasn't the Fridge at 32 years old in his 2nd year as OC. He is an inexperienced and supposidly talented OC. He needs some help.

I'm pondering a theory about the play calling revolving around who is under center. A more mobile QB, a more "wide open" offense, etc. I probably just need to turn in..

law, was he successful? The Dolphin fans don't think so. Maybe at Dallas. I can't recall. To me, he is avg. Not bad, just vanilla, and I think we need a little innovative thinking cause straight-up we will have a hard time matching up.

It's not O'Brien or the Fridge. The Fridge looks human this season because he doesn't have the players. O'Brien is working with what he's got, as well. Repeat after me....It's all about recruiting.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">This is the most talent we have had in the last 10 years. The players we have now were recruited when O'leary was at the top of his game.

You judge a recruiting class on how they perform in their 3rd and 4th year.

Yes it is great to supplement your team w/ the Super 18 y/o but it is very rare.

Bobby Dodds Ghost, go back for the past five years and look at the recruiting ratings between Tech and Clemson, Tech and Maryland, Tech and Wake Forest, Tech and Duke, Tech and members of the ACC, other than FSU.

I think you will find Tech has been ranked above most of the ACC schools for that period. If that theory is true, we should have not lost a game against those schools that have less recruiting results than Tech. It is about coaching. Good coaches get good athletes. Good coaches get the most out of average athletes.

O'brien is young and he is not Ralph. If we measure him against Ralph he will always be a failure. Obrien had and easier time last year because Godsey new the offense so well. This year we find out if Billy can really coach. He is responsible for figuring out how GT can score points given the abilities that his QB's have this year. He can't run the whole package because neither QB can run the whole package. If he is going to be a succesful OC he has to figure out how to construct a package out of what the QB's can handle while expanding what they are capable of executing over the coarse of the year. That my friends is the job of the offensive coordinator

It's about the lines. We have had good recruiting classes but have been lacking in D linemen with size. Our offensive line recruiting has been better IMO but injuries have cost us and we have never had an overabundance of numbers. No matter how good your LBs, QB, RBs, WRs if your line can't take care business you don't win.
