We all know he is "THE RECRUITER" but can he coach defense?

Not everyone will miss Jon Tenuta's blitz-happy scheme...I'm not one of those guys. The sack is the most devastating play in football.

This has been my main concern. Has Giff had any previous DC experience (GSU perhaps)? And how did he do there?

Did I miss something or is there some assumptions made in your question? I have heard or seen official releases concerning JT or G around DC position. Is this just a hypothetical quest?

It was recently posted that there was an 80% chance of Muschamp being named our new coach, and Giff being upgraded to DC.

As for scheme, I have no idea. I would guess that he would keep the blitz-happy style for awhile, and then work out his own style.
