If Tenuta stays and coaches for the bowl game, you have to imagine he would love to Bond to stick around to control the offense. With a 100% Bond controlled offense, I wonder what we see differently, if anything. Been rumored all season about Gailey still having his hand in things, so it will be interesting to see how differently we come out on offense.

We finally get to see a little bit of the option maybe?

I don't see the option but more mid type throws from Bond's past offenses. CG liked the difficult to catch/intercept out routes.

Hopefully, with the new starters at the O-Line and 3/4 of the secondary next year a read option oriented offense is clearly the scheme to use to be successfull this coming season while gradually incorporating a more conventional offense.

Yeah... But thanks to last year's bowl this year I won't buy into the hype after one game. I just wish we coulda canned Chan a few games ago if it was going to happen to give Tenuta a chance to run it.

Other issue could be this - so Tenuta is named coach of the bowl game. Say a new coach is announced in the next week or two. What happens then?

I would assume Tenuta and his staff focus solely on the Bowl Game while the new coach tries to solidify current commitments as well as gain new ones before the dead period beginning Dec 19. Recruiting would take precedence over anything else for the next staff, and we better get some beef on the lines or the new staff will be criticized just like Chan was for failure to recruit Linemen early on.

New coach can't get new staff in place before then anyway.

Will giving Bond control of the offense keep the QBs from throwing passes in the dirt and WRs from dropping the ones that actually hit them in the hands? If that **** doesn't improve, it won't matter who's calling the plays.

No, but firing Chan clearly will!
