We may just get there early and walk around and look for stingtalkers, but my daughter is really wanting to set up the canopy so who knows what we might do!

What is the earliest time that RVs can pull into the AMC lot? Can they pull in at a specific time on Friday evening and stay overnight? Any type of parking permits required for cars and/or RVs in the AMC or Mgmt lots? Ant feedback greatly appreciated.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">If you have a parking pass you can probably roll
in the night before the game. I know some of the
AMC guys do.

I'll be setting up my canopy by 9:30am.

spoke with Barb Dotwieler(sp)at the A-T office this morning about the campus police's RV parking confusion the Friday night before the Auburn game. She stated that we could come in Friday but prefer that we not arrive before 6pm. BTW,you gotta have a RV parking pass to drive a camper in.

10am i think.

gonna take it a bit easier than the au game. that hangover on the way home was a killer.

Re: What time is everyone planning to start tailgatein\' sat ?

Probably will run down to campus at 7am to put the canopies up. Go back home for a few hours to do some yard work, and then make it back by 1pm.

My group will be setting up between 9:30 & 10:00 but I'll probably be sleeping in Sat morning.

The ContactBuzz September World Football Tour (CBSWFT):

Sat, Sep 6: Aub @ GT (0930 - 2030, Beautiful game, gloated to my Aubie SWMBO and friends, went out to eat @ Vinocity (my friend is one of the owners and it was his B'day) & a few more drinks, asleep by 0200)
Sun, Sep 7: ATL @ DAL (awake @ 0130 Delta flight 1059 dep. @ 0725 and arrived into DAL, checked into hotel, took a 1 hr power nap, had brunch and left for game/tailgating @ 1200 CST. Pretty good game, Birds win 27-13. Back from game/dinner @ 2300 CST, watch Sportscenter, asleep by 2400, wake up @ 0430 for a 0540 CST flight to ATL, arrive 0845 EST and go to work)

Fri, Sep 12: Leave work @ 1500, meet CracketJacket for drive to Tallahassee. 1930 - arrive in TLH and promptly (before checking into hotel) meets SWMBOs and friends @ Japanese rest for sushi, Sapporos (duck wine), and hibachi (those onion volcanoes never cease to amaze me). You'll have to excuse the memory from this point on - it's a little fuzzy but I'll do my best. Drop off luggage at the hotel and head for Bullwinkle's (approx 2130) - $10 cover and free beer/well drinks from 2100 - 0100. Watch band and get hammered. Free drink time expires so we go next door to Poor Paul's to shoot some pool. Someone played Johnny Cash on the jukebox - I had a personal moment of silence. We left before I had a chance to shoot a game of pool (or maybe I did, I can't remember). Went to sleep very late.
Sat, Sep 13: The SWMBOs woke us up very early (with a cheap liquor hangover). They left - I went back to sleep. Heard CJ stirring around a couple of hrs later (1000). Woke up, watched sportscenter, saw GT students drop Reggie Ball in SC Not top 10, and took a shower. Headed toward the "Hive Church" tailgate, stopping on the way to pick up some essentials, KFC, ice, water, mixers. Arrived at tailgate, exchanged pleasantries with AFR, dixiejacket, and others. Ate 2 pieces of fried chicken and 2 KK doughnuts - hangover gone. Hours upon hours of watching games, throwing the rock, and alternating water and alcoholic beverages. Walked to the mini-YJA (approx 1730). Walked back for a final Scotch & coke. Left for game - 1930. Enjoyed 58 minutes of football and endured 2 minutes of having my heart ripped out by the 'Noles AGAIN. Walked back to tailgate after pouting nearly 30 minutes. Packed up while lamenting loss with other Jacket fans. Left for hotel @ 0100 - asleep by 0200.
Sun, Sep 14: Wake up call @ 0430. Cab to airport @ 0500. 0610 flight to ATL. Waffle House run. SWMBO and I went to friends house @ 0900. Took a 1 hr power nap. 1030 - headed to ATL for Falcon/Redskins game. 1115 - set up mini-tailgate, had hamburgers, hot wings, and a pepcid AC. 1230 - off to the GA Dome. Watched the Birds "loose" a 17 pt lead. Picked up Chinese on the way home and crashed for the night.

To be continued....
2 home games this weekend and Nashville next weekend.

Awesome report CB, keep 'em coming!

Re: What time is everyone planning to start tailgatein\' sat ?

Does anybody know if they plan on going Barney Fife on people who pull trailer mounted smokers into the general lots?

I'm way too cheap to buy 2 parking passes, and I'd hate to have to leave the truck somewhere and push the 2000 lb smoker into the lot!

If you smell BBQ ribs in the west campus air Saturday morning, its probably us!

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">Great recap.

I passed the team buses on my way to pick up ContactBuzz
and then got the evil eye from the security at his
office before picking him up.

As we drove down 319, we got to see the folks at
the Thomasville vs Thomas County highschool game.
We lamented on the fact that we hadn't made plans
to attend and watch that game before heading on
into Tally.

Bullwinkles was a hoot. Open bar for a couple of
hours and co-ed lasses everywhere. I didn't know
they had such a big deck out back. ContactBuzz
was two fisting the Cape Cods for awhile there.
I was reminded of why I married a "Tallahassee
Lassie" myself...*chuckle*

Poor Paul's has last call and was closing before
Contact got a chance to play. I was 3-0 and King of
the Table when we left. *brag* Vu had already
spilled one drink on the table by then.

The suites at "Comfort Suites" aren't really suites
and the pull out sofas suck!

I think you covered everything else pretty well.

Nash'vegas should be fun for the Vandy game. =]

Re: What time is everyone planning to start tailgatein\' sat ?

Hey Contact - please come by Saturday - especially if you have another 4 dozen KK donuts!

Enjoyed hanging out with you - great post! Makes my night in Tally and trip home sound very plush!

Re: What time is everyone planning to start tailgatein\' sat ?

Our group will have the smoker going by mid morning in the Library lot. Chicken and Ribs on the menu and we'll be watching those Bayou Bengals on the TV.....GEAUX TIGERS!!!!(purple and gold variety that is).Plenty of cold CL to go round,.....and I'm breaking out the lucky Lil' Joe helmet to boot! Still got some issues with CG on recruiting, but it's time to win some football games!!!!

GATA JACKETS!!!!
