What to do about a Tech Plate in Athens?

So I fully plan on not having anything Tech on my car after leaving it Saturday, but there's one problem: I have a Tech license plate. Obviously I can't drive without a plate on, but if I park (at Clark HS) and take it off for the game, that's legal right? My car shouldn't be towed for being parked without a license plate....right? Any suggestions?

Man up, please.

You should also be like me and tape the centerfold TO HELL WITH GEORGIA page from the Technique to your back windshield.

Rent a car for the trip!

I personally am leting my girlfriend(A bulldog) drive.

You are both disgusting.

If you two were men, I would punch you both in the mouth.

From having attended our game in Samford and Son Stadium between 1990 and 2002 let me give you this advice:
If you don't want your car keyed, either park it in a very secure lot or don't advertise. Or you can park it in the middle of a bunch of other GT fans' cars. I would keep the rear of the car parked up against something so its not obvious. Its not a question of manning up. Advertise all you want to, until you actually leave your car alone. at that point, make it look like anyone elses car.

Yea, because being at the game instead of at my car is totally not manning up. I don't give a **** if I had a paper mache 10-foot-tall Bobby Dodd replica on top of my car so long as I am at my car. The point is I don't want my car trashed when I'm not at my car.

I'm in the same boat...also think about parking at the cchs lot with the tech tailgate...but even though that lot is gated in it's easy to hop the fence...This is another reason I HATE mutts...my friends car got keyed in Atlanta during the game last year...

leave a blanket that you dont care much about draped over the plate as if you accidentally closed the trunk with it sticking out

dawgs can relate to that and will leave you beer instead of keying your car

wrap the entire car in bubble wrap.....not only will you not get keyed but 15-20 bulldog students will miss the game while they pop all the bubbles!

I agree with BOR, try to park somewhere where you can back your car up to a wall or something so the plate isn't visible.

For visiting Athens and blending into the campus scenery, you need an old pickup with a rusted out body. Put a gun rack across the rear window and a sticker that says "Red Man" on the window.

Be sure you thoroughly secure the door.

Take along your own toilet paper in case you have to use the Samford Stadium crapper. Take some extra rolls to $ell to dawgs too dumb to bring their own.

And don't get so drunk that you try to pick up one of their dainty little coeds unless you have at least a 1-ton truck with a hydraulic lift gate.

If you are parking at CCHS don't worry about it. Good god. CCHS is fairly removed from the hardcore UGA tailgate areas, most UGA fans don't even know we're there. Couple that with the fact that there will be several people around the RVs not going to the game watching it on TV.

I've been to Athens every year since 98, and I always have stickers, magnets, plates, etc. The worst vandalism I have ever had to my truck was in 2006 in a TURNER FIELD parking lot at a Braves game. Front GT tag was TORN off and my car keyed. Never had that happen at a Tech tailgate in Athens.

MAN UP...REPRESENT.
