What was said today on Tobacco Road re: expansion (you\'ll love it)

The rumor today, on local radio was this :

Apparently it takes 6 votes in the ACC to change the by-laws....

It seems as though there are serious discussions to change the by-law to make it 6 votes rather than 7 for the issue of expansion. Not only can they do this, but they might as an alternative to expanding beyond 12 teams (if needed).....Interesting...

Yeah that was the rumor yesterday prior to the VT news. The problem was that it takes over a month to change the laws (which would be after the June 30 deadline)

I'm surprised no one thought of this long ago! If the 2 month scenario is true - someone didn't do their homework - what a great way out of all of this - hope it's not too late.

After the June deadline, doesn't it cost an extra million to leave the Big East?

If so, we can donate our check we're waiting on from Notre Dame for taking O'Leary and allow Miami to come on over.

the extra million is if they want to come over next season (which Miami does). It's still just a mill for the 2005 season.
