What was up with Philip Wheeler yesterday

It seems like he was just going thru the motions. Didn't make any plays I can remember. What were his tackle stats?
 
He had 3 tackles and 2 assists. Gary Guyton led the team with 8 tackles.

I don't think it was his best day but he is still a beast and we will most definitely miss him next year.

I give a tip of the hat to Morgan Burnett who had 5 tackles and an assist.
 
I had the same thought about Jamal Lewis, who seemed to be beaten a lot. Just as I said it, he hit somebody. Then Lewis rolled on the ground. He is obviously playing with an injury. Same may be true for Wheeler. We are not a deep team.
 
A lot of UNCs blocking schemes yesterday were specifically geared towards keeping #41 from having a field day. He did very well considering that, but it allowed Guyton to get free a lot more often and he delivered well on the reduced attention he was getting.
