Please try not to be so anal. I'm begging you. Please try to show a little confidence. A little esprit de corp. Is that so hard? What is this worry crap? Are you a milk fed pussy or what? Mommy will be here to catch you when you fall. Do you actually have nuts in your nutsack or are you a girl? If you are a girl I retract my statements and apologize for being a hairy man person. Otherwise,

YOU ARE A LOSER!!!

Asking Tech fans not to be anal is... well... ok, next point: I think a lot of this "Duke scares me" talk is actually a good sign.

Back in prior administrations, Duke really did scare us but we were too scared to admit that we might actually lose to those mutton heads which, on occasion, we did.

Now, I think deep down, no body really believes we can lose to the team that basically serves as an opening act for basketball season. We are, after all, a TWO TOUCHDOWN FAVORITE for Gawd's sake.

So I think all this spleen-dripping emo crap is more about trying to add some drama to a game that, by the second half, will be about as dramatic as watching the scoreboard timer count down to the end of Duke's so-called "run." We need something to keep us interested until the Clemson game so why not invent some drama where none exists?

I actually prefer that to the attitude of say the parasite hosts to the east where the outcome of the season is a pre-ordained prophecy and each game is little more than a "I hope to effin Gawd we don't effen lose to thes effin Morans" event.

Ultimately, the type of confidence that you rightly confer to your fellow Tech fans is justified. But consider that its been a while since that has been the case. And, like the team itself, we at least acknowledge the possibility of losing because it helps keep it from happening. I think it does help jack the crowd noise which, if nothing else, the players appreciate.

Nice analysis of what I just said. I actually read all of it and it made sense. Way to go!

Mommy and Daddy are here at the door with cookies and punch.

You haven't been a Tech fan long enough if you aren't worried every time we take the field.

All I have been saying is that any team can lose any game at any time and I am a very superstitious person and don't want to jinx the team. Laugh if you want, call me a pussy if you want, but I dont want to hear the word "parity" (buzzword of the season... ohh and did you know that there are only 85 schollys given out now which has cause a trickling down of talent?) being mentioned in any form after the GT vs. Duke game...

That being said I looked at the UVA box score. It was 3-3 at the half and UVA's second half possessions went as follows: punt, punt, int, int, int, fumble, turn over on downs, int. A total of 6 turnovers with 5 in the second half. Of course they were gonna lose bad. FYI, UVA threw more INT's than we throw passes so at least the INT's wont be a major issue.

Yup,

Dont worry, we wont throw an interception into the endzone on 1 and goal from the 5 against NC St.

Dont worry, we wont lose to Duke in the last 5 years.

Dont worry, we wont get spanked by a crappy UVA team last year.

I wont stop worrying until we are rushing the field at UGA in about 2 months.

thanks for the big edit that makes me look like a mag. you're toast. I will never speak to you again. Enjoy eating your own doo doo. I don't eat doo doo. Some of us are better than that.

CRIPES! That's fandom, I guess? Worry? No, that's anal.

Enjoy your 'anality.' Have some Oreos and a big glass of milk.

Tomorrow you die.

The worry that is sometimes expressed comes from the fact that if we lose focus/ bomb on Saturday. We will be the 1st road win in 5 years --to a team that has been known to be the worst team in captivity for years. Not to mention- all the sh** we will here from Athens and watching all that posative media buzz we have had around here lately dry up. No im not worried! But believe it or not were not close to beating dangerous teams badly yet.

I'm worried about the reaction your son will have if we lose.
