Thanks for asking.

I do want to preface this with saying that I am behind DRAD in whomever he chooses. Having said that...

I agree 100% with Bradley. I think Hatch is the guy for all the right reasons. I think he is a guy that can unite the majority of Tech Fans and he will bring exactly what DRAD wants at GT. Excitement. Every time I talk with Chris he fires me up. Is it risky? Maybe. But no riskier than hiring an assistant coach with no head coaching experience.

Young...good thats what we need. Hatcher will either be our next head coach or someone else's in a couple of years. But one thing I do know, he will be successful and anyone here that does not want him now, will wish they had thought differently in the future.

I have spoken with young, mid and old alums over the last few days and each of them would be excited about Chris.

And PS...all the UGA fans I speak with hate the thought of Hatch at Tech.

The question is, will DRAD pull the trigger?

What's your opinion on Muschamp? The other former players don't seem to be big on having a mutt for a HC.

any ideal how he would handle staff- -undoubtedly his staff at GSU is solid for that type program but their experience is heavily weighted to high school and small college. Would Chris be able to get a heavy weight DC(i.e. Tenuta or equiv.)? Would he call the offensive plays? Could he keep Giff? Your thoughts on staffing and recruiting would be appreciated.

I would also have some reservations about Muschamp not as an x dog but more of a question of why him and not Hatcher.

In terms of assistants, I think Hatch has built many great relationships over the years, including Tenuta, and would have no problem assembling a quality staff. Could you imagine Hatcher and Giff recruiting the Southeast? Talk about win win.

I just don't see GSU being all that different. Sure, smaller 1AA schools like Samford, totally different ballgame, but schools like GSU, I think you can compare more to non bcs conference, like Miami Ohio, MTSU, etc.

Granted, he's only been there one year, but...

If we go the young guy route I would rather have Muschamp then Hatcher.

While I'd like to think that my comments PUBLICALLY have always been supportive, I will keep this in mind. Thanks...Mike

While I agree that would be a great combo, I don't think we should be handcuffing a new HC to any of the past regimes assistants. That never goes well. If CH wants to keep Tenuta, and more importantly, if Tenuta would stay under Hatcher, then great.

Although the combination of a high powered passing offense and JT's blitzing defense would be a lot of fun to watch, I'm not sure they compliment each other particularly well, because a high scoring offense isn't likely to "shorten the game" much.

I'd be awful damn entertaining, though. I agree to that.
