where are we going? I say we stay at home play and play UGA agin and call lit the Dust bowl. I mean if they didn't throw the ice from the team coolers following the game- PH could put up some goals and play ACC hoops games on that burnt field.

I'm thinking it's something like this...

Beat UGA: Champs/Music City
Lose to UGA: Music City/Car Care

I just have a feeling we're going to be seeing Miami in the Emerald.... if they make a bowl.

Here's my preliminary thoughts. Let's assume VPI beats UVA next week.

BCS bid: BC/VPI winner
Peach Bowl: BC/VPI loser
Gator: UVA/Clemson
Champs: Clemson/UVA

So now we're left with: Wake (5-3, 7-4, @Vanderbilt next week), FSU (4-4, 7-4, @Florida) and us for Car Care/Music City/Emerald Bowls. (A 6-6 team cannot be picked above us per NCAA regulations.)

If we beat Georgia, I'd say we are almost certain to get into the Music City. If we lose, I'd say it's still likely but not certain. I don't think FSU travels particularly well in a bad year like this and they will almost certainly lose to Florida. I think even if Tech loses, and even if our coach is fired, we'd show up for a Nashville bowl. (I know I will.)

So then it comes to to Car Care. I would imagine they'd take Wake over us or FSU unless the Wake fan base is just much smaller.

This leaves FSU to go to the Emerald. The winner of NCSU and Maryland then goes to the Humanitarian.

FSU went to Emerald last year, plus -- even in a down year -- they are more attractive than us, especially if we have no head coach. If we beat UGA and they lose to UF then they'd take us, but if both teams lose (or win), I'm guessing we're out of Nashville.

I suppose Charlotte could select us over Wake if both teams are 8-4 with us coming of a UGA win, but if we lose to UGA I'm guessing we're out west to Nut it up.

Humanitarian gets the last pick.

The Emerald Bowl could be a tough one going against the Pac10 #4. This could be Oregon State, California, UCLA, or Arizona.

what happens with the Music City Bowl now that Alabama just lost to LA MONROE? ha ha.

What other SEC team could potentially go there?
