What's the deal with Paul Johnson?

I saw, in another thread, where demjackets said Paul Johnson would not be under consideration for our Head Coaching position.

Why not? $?

My guess is that Drad want a quick decision. We do not need a lapse in recruiting so a current assistant who can come NOW is in the card in my mind. I see Tenuta as a viable candidate but not the winner.

He also said he would evaluate program at the end of season, but this decision was made many weeks ago. It's what is not said that is important.

I expect the new head coach will be in place by Friday. DRAD is too smart to fire and not know who the hire is going to be. He now just has to walk him through the string of approvals.

Whole different animal than Braine hiring after a coach unexpectedly quits. DRAD better have a guy, and someone damn good, waiting in the wings, or we're screwed.
