What's the latest on J. Tarrant?

I was just wondering what the latest update was on Jarrard Tarrant? I have not heard too much since the last rumor of the rape charges being dropped. I see that he is still listed on the GT roster. Has there been any resolution to this situation? Is he being redshirted this year or will he lose a year of elig.. with this off the field issue?
Just curious...not looking to stoke a smoldering fire just hoping all is still moving in a positive direction....

On CPJ call in show 2 weeks ago a caller asked the same question. CPJ stated there is no timeline. The case is at a standstill right now and no decision will be made until the case is closed or charges are officially dropped. He did not sound very optimistic about this year. He will lose a year of eligibilty because he redshirted last year unless he can prove that he missed this year's games because of an injury (not gonna happen).

Its a raw deal for JT if he is truly innocent.
 
He won't play this year. Things do look good for JT moving forward. Were just waiting on a slow DA's office. I would suspect it will be after the season/ beginning of Jan before we know get the final word.

That timing sounds somewhat deliberate. We can't bring the case forward, but we can punish him by waiting until just after his season ends to close the case...

I know he can't officially practice with the team, but I am assuming he is still able to use the weightroom facilities and such? I hope he is getting some type of practice in so that he hasn't just sat out football altogether for an entire year.

He will lose a year of eligibility pretty much. He is still in shape though, working hard.
