If I'm reading this right, I have to wonder what Dave Wommack's being moved to co-cordinator had to do with forcing Bower to resign.
Can someone shed some light here for me? Thanks. The following statement is a quote taken from the link.

"He became co-coordinator this season for Southern Mississippi, which forced Bower to resign after a team picked to contend for the Conference USA title finished 7-5 and earned a berth in Saturday's Papajohns.com Bowl in Birmingham".

They're simply saying that Souhern Miss forced Bower to resign.

I believe it is referring to Southern Miss as the subject that forced him out - not the act of moving DW to Co-DC.
