what's this at Grant Field?

My neighbor went and he said the facility and vendors were underprepared. Ran out of food and only had certain sections of UE open (which were packed) and security would not let people spread to next section over.
That’s a bummer - in addition to (in theory) making money for renting out the stadium, events like this are an opportunity to market campus and the stadium to some locals who aren’t affiliated with Tech. A small thing, but every little bit helps. It’s too bad that we didn’t do a better job with this.

Also, if I’d known it was happening, I might have checked it out myself. Did we advertise this at all? I know it’s not a Tech event per se, but I wouldn’t mind knowing when we’re hosting other NCAA things on campus.

We hosted it, but it was operated by another production company. Tech did advertise it at the basketball games this year starting about a month or two ago.

This event has been going on for a number of years. It was originally played at McEachern HS. I've gone a couple times. Some of the family went this weekend, but I opted for the basketball game.

Random trivia: NCSU's point guard was originally committed to play lacrosse for Maryland, but ended up taking a basketball scholarship at Stanford instead before transferring to the Wolfpack.
