Physically, I mean...

He didn't look right last night, either running or throwing the ball. I have seen him look poor throwing the ball before (although not this year) but I have never seen him so timid running.

I know that Gailey said that he had hurt is 'leg' in the Maryland game.....any insight as to what the inury actually is?

I think he was a little more banged up than everyone was led to believe. I was very concerned, and I even started a thread asking if Reggie was healthy or not, knowing that if he wasn't 100% that our chances of winning were quite slim.

I think he was playing hurt and got gun-shy from the rush, which he was prone to do even when he isn't playing hurt.

I'm not usually one to call to pull RB, but I was screaming for TB well before the end of the 3rdQ.

I think it is either upper thigh or hip.

Corso said something to the effect that his thigh, his ankle, and his hip were all messed up. It was pretty obvious.

Didn't we learn last year at VT that it does you no good to play a sick/injured Reggie Ball? What pisses me off more than anything is why our coaches chose to play him if he was hurt. Whats the damn point of a back-up QB if you don't use him when you need to?

I am embarrassed to admit that I had to watch this game A: on TV, B: surrounded by a bunch of ga grads. Typically we would have gone to Clemson for the game.

On TV, Reggie looked confused right out of the gates. The look in his face was blank. It almost seemed as though he had just gotten some really bad news before the game. What did the 44 mean on his calves? I'm worried about him moving forward. Whether he is injured, or just over football. He looked that worrisome to me last night.

Something was up with the team. From what I have read, Chan was pretty tight lipped. He instructed the team to be the same after the game. It was almost like we knew we were going to lose before kick off. Very eerie.

Anyone closer to the team have any further insight?

The 44 is old news. In fact, I'm pretty sure he had it for MD as well. His brother has a torn achilles and it's to honor him.

Reggie looked fine the first drive, and okay the second actually. But he clearly didn't want to get hit. Every time he had an opportunity to run he went outside. Every time there was any pressure at all he headed for the sidelines. I just don't think he wanted to get hit.

If your assessment is correct, CG has just coached his worst game at Tech. Not that we lost, but because a healthy Ball is the best chance we have this year.
Not an unhealthy one though. If CG's NFL mentality of winning the ones we must for the sake of the division is still intact, Reggie should have never seen the field.
The fact is he did get hit last night in a loss more lopsided than 24. Being down 7-0 at the half was a miracle. This one could have easily exceeded another textbook 51.

Does anyone believe that RB will be any healthier for um than he was last night? I don't.

Without his God given ability to run, he is not our best qb. He can't be.

I agree. My guess he will start for sure, but if he has problems as he did last night, they have got to pull him.

I will not hang this loss on Reggie. The young man wants to play no matter what.

The coaches have to make some decisons based on what is happening, and they failed to do that last night.

Me too. You could see he was hurt why not play TB?

I dont think we would lose much starting TB.

You mean we don't lose much with a healthy TB over an injured RB I assume. I might agree with that and certainly agree TB should have seen some action against Clemson. But if you're suggesting a you would take TB over a healthy Reggie then I think you're crazy.

Early in the game Reggie caught a helmet in the back while he was on the ground. It was on a run/scramble toward the TECH sideline. I don't know if TV showed it because I am yet to see a tape.

I could care less if he is not 100% as he must have been Sat at Clempson, then he should ask for help. ESPN stated that he was a sub 500% passer so why play him. We do this all the time, play the SR and next year the new QB gets his ass kicked and we then say "re-building year".

We have the number 1 reciever in the Nation and we know that he will be covered. But we have a QB who cannot see down field far enough to see an open pattern. Reggie just puts up a pass and prays when it is downfield.

The only TD catch was made because of talent in the reciever. Had the ref not been there on top of the play we would have been shut out.

I just want a QB again who can see down field and not worry about being the only player with the ball, am I gonna miss Reggie? Not no, but Hell No.

Yes over a hurt RB.
