I'm a big Arena Football League fan, laugh, I know many don't exist, but the season starts this Friday.

There's been a lot of former GT QB's that have played in the AFL. Donnie Davis (6 yr AFL career), George Godsey (was once on the practice squad for the TB Storm) and Joe Hamilton (was once the starter for the Orlando Predators).

Anyway, I was just looking over the rosters to see where any familiar players are at.

In doing so, I went on a link to the Indoor Football League, which is a low rung version of the Arena Football League with teams in small-medium cities in the Midwest.

So I click on this team called the "Bricktown Brawlers", which is based out of Oklahoma City and find none other than Reggie Ball listed at QB.

Turns out the team is 0-2 and Ball is up to his usual high jinx.

While the Bricktown Brawlers defense came up with some huge plays, mistakes on offense proved to be the downfall for Oklahoma City. Reggie Ball threw a pick-six and lost a fumble at the end of the game to allow the Wranglers to escape with the close fought victory.

If you can't perform well in the IFL, which is pretty much the lowest form of 50-yard football or pro football in general, then you have some issues.

I hope to God that isn't his full time job. That's almost on the same level as playing on the men's softball team at the First Baptist Church.

That's what happens when you can't see over the offensive line.

I thought this was going to read:

"...stepping out the back of the endzone."

Lack of talent can lose you games, but lack of heart can too. The kid wasn't great or good even, but he had fire and played as hard as anybody. Too bad our team last year didn't have half the heart Reggie did.

+1

Reggie played hard. He didn't have the coaching or talent to play in Gailey's nfl style system. He actually played well in Nix's system. But all of the qb draws (especially when you could predict them) took it's toll. Good luck to Reggie. I hope he got his degree.

Some of you still taking shots at the guy? Really?

Pathetic.

Yes we are and I shouldnt be doing it but I still see the damn football floating in the stands at sanford stadium and aint got over his quote of its just a game dog.Heart is one thing but it will be a while before I get that out of my mind.I also get upset when Chan says the markers were wrong.hell they have fifteen coaches in the box and on sidelines ,somebody surely can tell what down it was.Yes he needs to get his degree and get a good job, hope he gets both and maybe the healing will begin.

"Ball is loose!!!" Thanks Wes.

Another jock that can't shake that itch. Can't say as I blame him. Play as long as you can cuz one day you can't. I'm glad RB chose Tech but I think things might have worked out better for him at a smaller football school.

All the best to Reggie.

Oh my God. A gnats post that I agree 100% with? This must be the third sign of the apocalypse.

Could not have said it any better myself.

"Its just a game dawg." should be the automated response to these comments.

Anyone have a picture of the handicapped parking space with the "Reserved for Reggie Ball" painted on it from the MRDC lot circa 2006? My google fu is weak right now. It's a classic.

Colorado v Mizzou says hello

Wow. Good for him. Said he ran for 2 tds, but the 3 TO's dont suprise me. Hopefully Ball will make some noise in the IFL and go to the arena league.
