Watching ESPN's college football final this morning with Joe Tessitore and Joey Galloway I learned from Tessitore that Maryland is back in the ACC and that their loss to Bowling Green is bad for the conference.

Can we get Holtz and May back?

Seriously? Wow that's incompetent.

Man, that Arkansas loss to Toledo sure does represent the Southwest Conference poorly....

Good question. I had the same thought when I turned on the ESPN final this morning. I would so love to see FOX put something together as an alternative. Do they not do a college scoreboard type thing?

Of note though, thhe listed the top 6 playoff contenders. Only had Bama from SEC in at #6, none in top four. But had auburn as one of 10 to choose from. Really? And no commen on "which of these is not like the rest?"

espn is dying on the vine. all the people "cutting" the cable, slingtv, and people sick of high cable bills

at the same time they are losing the rights (fox/nfl) which is cutting into their highlights

and they are having to pay more $$$ for what they get b/c of all the competition

they are going the way of mtv....less and less sports and more people bitching about sports

FWIW Finebaum trashed Bielema, Auburn, and gave nod to the Tennessee failure this morning on Sportscenter

I've tried watching the new highlight show and it's terrible. Bad format, not very interesting personalities. I never thought I'd say this, but I miss Lou Holtz & Mark May.

To top it off, GT was only mentioned when talking about NDs upcoming schedule. No mention of the Tulane game.

If you weren't a GT fan would you really care about GT pasting Tulane?

Our season begins on Saturday. If we take care of business going forward, we won't need to worry about media attention. Don't forget, we got talked about a bunch in the preseason.

In an hour long show I would expect some coverage of all top 25 teams. They mentioned Ole Miss who played a similar game and unranked BC against severely overmatched Howard.

FWIW, the ESPNU college football Sunday show had a good exchange between Kevin Carter and Jason Sehorn when asked to choose which game next weekend intrigues them the most. Spent several minutes on the GT/ND game
