Where is everyone, there has been hardly any

I have to force myself to post here honestly now. Have to force myself even to read this board now. Love the work beestorm and jacketfan have done here. It's great set up. By far the best I've seen on any sports message board, but it's pretty ugly around here for the most part right now. We need to hit the field and win! Go Jackets!

No, the ABC'ers aren't killed off....just digging in for the winter siege.

I don't come around anymore b/c Stingtalk has become the antiChan board. I'm fully convinced there are several on this board who want Chan to fail. No, I don't think everything is perfect, but I don't need to read 1000 posts on what I already know. Recently, this board has discussed very little relevant information that didn't turn into "Bash Chan" 2003. It's pretty sad. It's time that we as Georgia Tech fans decide to come together to support Paul Hewitt, Danny Hall, AND Chan Gailey. Spring practice starts soon, and I'm planning on being there b/c I want to see what to expect in the coming year.

Indian Buzz, I plan to be there as well. You hit the nail on the head with what you just posted as well.

I haven't posted recently because there really hasn't been a lot to discuss right now. Recruiting season has always been a tough time to get into because I think kids are much more likely to change their minds than in the past. Therefore, it seems a bit silly to get your hopes up on people who may or may not be there come signing day. I'll wait and see how it pans out.

Also, in response to the Stingtalk being bad statements, I don't think it is really all that worse than any of the other Tech boards (including the Hive). There is just as much negativity over there as there has been here. The only difference is that there are more posters on the Hive so topics can get rolled over quickly. My personal opinion is that both extremes act fairly immature at times whether for or against Chan.

Have you guys started any positive post over here? If not, why? If so, then keep it up. Dissenting opinions is what makes message boards so great and I think Stingtalk does a much better job at letting everyone state their opinion without chiding them all the time.

GTPilot. I'm sure you're not alone in how your deal with recruiting. Have good GT friends that look at it the same way.

I'm one of those that loves the recruiting process. To me it's fun. Have to take the good with the bad. It's a ride that's for sure.

good wisdom from GTTerriff, Indian, and Pilot...
I think I've banged my head against the wall as much as I can trying to get the ABCers to see things from my perspective. It's not going to happen; neither will I see things from their "side of the ball" now known as "camp beeware."

Bottom line, unless it directly hurts recruiting or play on the field, I'm going to choose to read of few of the posts, shake my head, and wait until the season starts and stand (symbolically) shoulder to shoulder (symbolically) with all my Tech "brothers and sisters" (to borrow a phrase from the late and esteemed Mr. Ciraldo) and cheer for the Yellow Jackets.

you guys are getting me pumped off for football season...its going to be a long 9 months....

*looks for someone to tackle*

This board is content driven and if there is not anything to say the posts will slow until spring practice.

There are probably a few who are honoring the "if you ain't got nothing nice to say then don't say anything"

as far as the agenda for CG to fail well two losses at the end of the season spoke for themselves.

GTace's post on "logically" CG should succeed was right on. Logically there is no reason he should not be a top notch college coach, however this has yet to materialize and if we take another drubbing by our neighbors it will be difficult to keep the jeanie in the bottle.

I think CG has done pretty well in recruiting for his first full year.

But I just hope we can perform next year b/c that will be the ultimate test.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">Law, this is a very reasonable view and post. Even though I support Coach Gailey totally I do believe as you've stated we didn't see things materialize last year other than the wins at home against UVA and on the road again NC ST. We had gone through a great deal of adversity prior to those wins.

What this program needs in a big way is to hit the field and win next fall. Unfortunately that's still a ways off.

A good recruiting class will help how the fans feel. Even some fun exciting football talk during spring will help. Nothing will do more good than winning.

Even with the things I didn't like on the field last year, I still have confidence with some solid QB play along with more mature lines we can win.

Might get some help here and there from recruits as well, but I'm not counting on that just yet. Will take a more healthy mature physical Jacket team made up mostly the players we saw last year to get it done. QB play is always a key.

Go Jackets!

trafic on this board of late. I've had to resort to reading the Hive for all of my GT information/conversation.
