How do you KNOW that our recruits (other than the handful contacted by Winklejohn based on a semi-fictitious story) are even aware that there are any "questions" regarding his status? All I see are some cry-baby posters pretending that the program is mediocre and on the decline in posts on a couple message boards that they most likely don't even frequent. As far as anyone knows for sure, our HC has multiple years left on his contract.I would not look for many commitments until the "questions" surrounding Coach Gailey's status are settled which I assume will not happen to after the UGAG game. In my opinion, the uncertainty is impacting our recruiting and I am worried that it could impact us with recruits such as Uzzi, Barnes, and the big lineman from Thomasville who have other choices.
And last season, they were supposedly playing the same card. Then, we had the whole Chan to the NFL talk. Our recruits held together. If Gailey is truly on the hot seat specualtion-wise, then so are about 87 others and we could plant speculative reports on at least 20 others for everyone to use as a hammer against them.Coaches at other schools know about the speculation and you they will play that to try and create an advantage with recruits.

I think you'll find that is done considerably less than you might suspect.
