There is always the good and bad in everything. A soft pass is easier to catch when it is out in front of you, and you are running to the ball, while the rope can be difficult if it is not in the exact right place.
If you are waiting on the ball, the rope is easier to catch, because you are anxious to catch it and turn upfield. The soft pass seems to take forever to get there and you can turn upfield without the ball if you are too anxious to make yardage.
Maybe we won't be throwing anymore floaters across the field, deep in our territory, with about a minute in the half, while still in the game scoreboard-wise.
