The one that gave up 200 yards rushing to Louisville & Duke and got beat soundly, or the one that held undefeated Syracuse to 75 yards rushing, 22 points, and darn near beat them. Of course Syracuse had 4 turnovers. I’m getting a little nervous about this game, Tech has to win this one to continue the momentum towards bowl eligibility.

Elliott sucks about as much as Geoff.
My take as well. Which is why the OP’s take is sound but also not necessarily reason for concern. Is this the inexplicable win on UVA’s schedule? Maybe. I don’t think so.

Footballs a crazy sport so yeah they can definitely beat us. I think it’s 70/30 we win tho. Our stats are nearly identical before taking into account that their schedule has been real soft and ours one of the toughest in the country. Their frosh-rich OL is gonna have a long night against our DL. If they do win it’s gonna be Armstrong scrambling for 100+ and connecting on 3rd and longs.

Don't forget that last years uVa OC is now at Syracuse. Most of the cav defense was quite experienced seeing Anae's personality on the calls Might have helped their outlier performance against the Orangemen. Still expect a tough game. Their backs are against the wall. We will have to play close to mistake free as possible to win.

All that matters is that GT shows up! Good Jeff Sims plus 11 hateful men on defense= a uvag asswhoopin

I am more worried about which GT team shows up. If we play our game and don't lay an egg, we'll win.

Tech is the better team, and BDS under the lights on a Thursday night is probably worth 10 points. Still, the outcome is often determined by turnovers, penalties, and lack of focus, so we have to be better with all those things to win.

Armstrong ran all over us last year. He threw some pretty good passes too. They beat us worse than the 48-40 score suggested. Is Arstrong still running a lot?

Seems like everybody ran all over us last year. I don't think UVA has much of a running game this year. That tends to make Armstrong one-dimensional.

I feel more confident playing this game at home instead of up there. Charlottesville is cursed for us for some reason.
