While not as negative as many, I am surprised...

about the success of the Tech Fund. With all of the ramblings, I decided to pony up the big donation to get 50 YL Lower West seats this season. I figured it was my only chance to move to the seats of my youth. I recieved my call this morning and not only were there no 106s available but there were none in 105 nor 107 and only a very few very low rows in 104 or 108...not even four together.

So, I moved over to 127, row 21, and bought the whole row fore the money we had left. It costs me $200 per seat which seems high to me but we sit within 2 feet of the Club section for about half the price. We've sat in the Club seats and the lounge is so crowded it adds no real value IMO.

I questioned the young man taking my order about no availability in the lower West and he said they have had about a 90% retention rate thus far. While there will still be lots of good tix available that no one is willing to pay the option on, my guess is the Lower West being filled at that per seat donation is going to mean a lot more money in the AA's coffers. So, Dan Rad might come out smelling like a genius. And hopefully the Lower West will be filled by some rabid fans for the first time in awhile.

127 wasn't what I had hoped for but it's not bad either. It should work well for the fam if we keep having/adopting kids as we have the entire row. I don't have a plan for the sun yet so thanks for any suggestions.

It looks as though 122, and especially 128 and 129 will go unsold in large part. I'm hopeful they will let me buy some 3 game packs in those sections to sell to Stingtalkers and other GT fans who were unwilling or unable to pay the licesnse fee. The gentlman I spoke with said they would try to keep my 3 game packs close to my season tix but I have my doubts based on the process last year.

yea I am pretty happy about the GT fund myself. I was able to get in 225 which is right where I wanted to be.

as long as you where a ballcap the sun is ok

Now if you FORGET the hat then you will have a rough time.

Well, myself and my buddies will be doing our part to fill up about 15 seats in 122. Seemed like the best bang for the buck to me (would have went higher, but we're pretty young alumns and a few of the group are still in grad school so we settled). I cannot wait for the season to start!

thwg,
welcome to 127. been sitting there since the last re-shuffle a few years back. we occupy the row just to the right at the top of the portal.

get ready to hear Tunetta carry on and hollar alot. the Tech coaches box is right above us.

BTW, the seats arn't our old 106 seats but these ain't bad either.

See you in 122 Peck. Others are migrating over to the row behind ours this year.

I was optimistic from the start, and am VERY pleased......

....with how it seems to be progressing so far.

My tailgating/seats-mate and I considered our options and decided to look to improve our seating at our current PSL level, and were able to do so (moving from 123 across the aisle to 124 at same row levels). We had included the option of 109 within certain parameters, but the number/arrangement of seats must've been full within those guidelines (which I consider to be good news!) We're happy with our results!

I had committed to DRad that, with the TECH Fund implementation, my total giving to the combination of the new fund and A-T would at LEAST remain at the level it had the past couple of years. I've since decided to UP my total giving to keep my A-T level in addition to my TECH Fund PSL's.

Hopefully, many others will be willing and able to do likewise.

How high do I need to be to get some shade? Is there any hope in row 21?

Thanks and we'll see you there this Fall with lots of kids in tow.
