that you guys want most. For me they are Gilliard and Davis as LB's ( I agree somewhat with the poster that said that Sed. Griffin is the only real good LB we currently have, I will add Jefferson though to that statement, he has been hurt but has shown as he is getting healthy that he could be a stud) So i.m.h.o we need an upgrade at LB.

I also would like to see us land Toney Williams and redshirt him to be possible heir apparent to Dwyer. Would like for us to land Myles too at DB. And the 2 mobile QB's in Aycock and Sims, we have all seen when Nesbitt is out that we miss his speed at QB.
Also would like to close on Cross and Cummings at DE.

What say you?

We may get Davis as an athlete (RB/LB/ROV)....we are not pushing for Gilliard that hard. If we only signed one LB (Watts...who is a stud) we are happy as we will have 11 next year...three of which will be freshman since we redshirted Munroe and Machen.

Look for either Dom Allen, Toney Williams, or no one at BB to sign this year other than Drummond. No more than two...will be happy to just sign Drummond.

We want to sign Sims, Aycock, and Dalcourt. We will see what happens....they are all QB/ATH.

I understand and somewhat agree with what will probably happen, But, I am not too high on our overall talent at LB, outside of Jefferson and Griffin, both of whom will be upperclassmen next year. After watching Miami last Thursday night, I was thinking it will be nice to get some faster better LB's..
I also hope you are right that Watts is a stud.

Drummond will probably end up being a good player ( His real role similiar to Cox) and just like Watson that is redshirting they do not come close to Dwyer's speed.

I.M.H.O. we will need to recruit another Dwyer (Blend of great speed and power) to be dominant with this offense. We will always have to have fast Bbacks not just big Larry Csonka types to win championships. P.J. inherited one stud in Dwyer at Bback. Allen will also be a Jr. next year, so we need to recruit hard a fast Bback stud this year and for sure next year.

LB is not a need for us in this class, we have enough youth there to develop. We need OLineman and A-backs as well as another QB

On defende we need DLineman, specifically DT's.

Robbie Godhigh from Harrison is an absolute beast and a great student. He is the PERFECT A back for this offense.

We need interior D-linman..Im not sure whats left out there, but after what we lose this year and the big drop off in tallent between 1st and 2nd string, we need some good 'ol biguns. What does the 2010 class look like for D-linman?

Dontae Aycock is the perfect option QB. He would be great. I also really want Darren Myles who is a stud. Reminds me of Morgan Burnett. I also would like a couple of more lineman.

We have 9 spots left max...and will only take the right 9 as we only graduate 9 seniors next year. There are plenty of good running backs in this list...they just might not start out there.

Our offer list and focus 9some more than others) now is:

QB/ATH David Sims
QB/RB Dontae Aycock
QB/ATH Courtnery Dalcourt
QB/WR Marsalis Teague
BB Toney Williams
WR Ricky Johnson
OL Daniel Hood
DE Izaan Cross
DE Euclid Cummings
DE Andre Civil
LB Mike Gilliard
FS Darren Myles
ATH Jonathan Davis

We can remove Dominique Allen from the list. I guess the impressive showing against Troy this weekend was all he needed on his visit to commit to LSU and cancel his GT visit.

Drop off in talent or still developing? I love how people assume kids don't get better as they play. Remember, Vance wasn't a big time recruit and he didn't exactly dominate as a FR and So either.

No matter who we recruit, or even had in the wings, there would be a drop-off after having the best pair of starting DT's GT has ever had....by far.

So lets start by understanding that.

To top it off, Elris Anyaibe, who also graduates, would have been two-year starter on most GT teams in the past.

next year we are young there and it will be a problem. Fortunately, guys like Brad Jefferson and AT Barnes will have solid experience by next year and can help come up to fill some gaps.

I also think we could see some special situations where Derrick Morgan, Jason Peters, and Robert Hall all play at once...like passing situations.

Other than that, these are our four horse at DT for next year:

Ben Anderson- Jr-R
Logan Walls- So-R
T.J. Barnes- Fr-R
J.C. Lanier- Fr

They will get pushed around some as they learn....that is just the way it is. That does not mean they will not become very good...but there is only one way to gain experience...and that is to play.

Regarding 201-, Denzel McCoy (as a junior he is 6-4, 275, 5.0; Duluth-Northview, GA) may be one of the top 5 DT's in the country next year and we lead for him. He has offers from everyone under the sun already...but he has come to every GT home game this year. Plus...he wants to major computer science or engineering. Think Daryl Richard.

We are still evaluating others at that position...but we only have 9 graduating seniors next year. So....unless we have attrition or do not use all of our 25 this year...it will be a small class.
