The way they stuff the run, the way they protect Ryan and the way Ryan cuts up a secondary who can beat them?

Just wondering.

b/c BC does not have a legit running game they will lose at least one game.

although Ryan is a legit NFL QB he had a career day against us. He may not play that well the rest of the year. I know he did not play like that against NCST.

Of their remaining schedule --these teams will not: Army, UMass, Bowling Green

These teams probably will not: @ Notre Dame, @ Maryland, Miami

These three teams present the best chance for a BC loss: @ VT, FSU, @ Clemson --VT will probably be a much improved team by 10/25, who knows with FSU.

If we don't beat Clemson in two weeks then there is a chance that two 10-0 teams could be facing each other on 11/17 --but there's a lot of football to be played in the next two months.

USC, Oklahoma, LSU, UF, Oregon, & Cal are teams that could kick the crap out of them.
Yeah, it was really a two-part question.

Who on their schedule then who on the national landscape (e. g., in a BCS game).

It'll be interesting to see how their season and our season progresses.

Call me crazy, but I just don't think Clemson is going to be that amazing this year. They looked great in the first half against FSU, but I haven't been that impressed since. They gave up 142 rushing yards and 266 passing yards to Furman last week, and gave up 26 points to LA-Monroe the week before. Now, those stats might be skewed by the play of backup players on defense, but they're still not overly impressive.

And, although fairly impressive so far, quarterback Cullen Harper is still unproven against a pass rush comparable to ours.

Another thing to add: We SHOULD (and I stress SHOULD) have more success getting to Harper than we did BC, as CU's OL hasn't been impressive since losing a few of its starters to graduation (2, I think). All that being said, we have the game at home, which never hurts.

Just my two cents... What do you guys think?

I'll buy USC, Oklahoma, LSU or UF as they are head and shoulders the best 4 teams in college football imo. Cal and Oregon could beat them, but it's not as much a sure thing as you seem to think.

I think there are quite a few teams outside the ACC that can beat them. Nearly any top 10 caliber team probably could, and anyone in the top 5 would crush them. Being physical, as they are, only gets you so far, after that you need play makers, and BC relies too much on the QB to be the only play maker.

Inside the ACC, BC is on par with anyone. Like last year I think the ACC will have a few teams ranked roughly 12-25 at the end of the season. I expect BC to be one of them, with hopefully us being another.
