And still no one has BC at 2 and USF at 3 :P

Its the other way around. Thats ridiculous. USF has no business jumping BC.

I sorta hope USF goes all the way undefeated, so they can play BC in the championship game and BC won't be exposed as a mediocre team by having to play a better team, like USC or Oregon or Texas.

They've got Rutgers, Cincy, and Louisville... All beatable. I say they lose one.

You had me in full agreement until those last 2 words. Texas is terrible, which is a moot point anyway becaise I don't believe there is any way on earth that BC could get a bid to the Holiday Bowl.

Such a result would go a long way towards forcing consideration of a playoff as well.

First, they will reluctantly go to a +1 format, playing all the bowls and then deciding the championship game. That will effectively be a four team playoff. Then the slippery slope should eventually take us to an eight team playoff.

I did. In fact, my preseason top 25 looks exactly like the BCS standings.

BC and USF both have a better chance of winning out than anyone else in the top 5 does. It's not far fetched at all that they could play for the NC, which would be great for the ACC because nobody'd realize how down we are.

beej67,
really isn't interested in watching BC get crushed by someone good
