I say that it will be 1 of 2 ways.....#22 scores on a hand off in the red zone or Ball hits JOHNSON on a deep fly route (exposes the weakness of the ND secondary EARLY in the game)....

What do you all think?

I'll play... play action flag to 21 from just inside the red zone.

No, I think RB fakes a toss sweep around right end to Choice, gets ND pulling to their left and RB take it up the gut from maybe 5-10 yds out for the score.

I think that will indeed happen, but later in the game after setting up that play by running Choice on the toss several times for big gains.

The first score for GT comes midway through the 1st quarter - Choice pounds it in up the middle behind Cox for the TD from 2-3 yards out after the O grinds out a 9 play drive down the field.

Our red zone issues from last year will be a thing of the past.

I've never seen a play designed where you fake a toss sweep and then the QB just runs up the gut, that sounds more like a busted play.

I do see however a fake sweep with a bootleg run by reggie and/or possible throw.

I recall Shawn Jones, Joe Ham and Reggie doing just that, and I don't think it was a busted play, but I could be mistaken.... then again maybe I've got my terminology wrong and what they did was a bootleg?

I am going with a Daryl Richards tipped ball at the line and a interception by one of our backs from about 15 yards out. Defense baby!!

On another note, I think that we need to score first to win. Nd will come out and go for the big play early to test the matchups. Our first couple of defensive series will shape the game. That is why I think our first score will come from the D. However I would like nothing more to see Reggie silence some critics with a stellar opening drive.

They indeed did that, the fake sweep and up the gut! Since it's happened many times especially with Jones and Ham, I don't think it was a busted play. Maybe a busted play by design!

A bubble screen on our 2nd drive of the game to the "Other" Johnson for a 35 yard Touchdown. Tech 7 ND 3 at this point. Final = Tech 28 ND 17

No truer words have ever been spoken!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When Reggie gets off the blocks quickly we are a dang good football team.

Regarding scoring first, it will be Bell hitting a 46 yarder. He will go on to win the Lou Groza Award in '06, hitting 18 of 21. (Is the Groza award for college kickers?) If not, he still wins it!
