Sorry if I'm looking too far ahead.

Me and some friends are flying down for the game, just seeing who all is going and where you are tailgating. I have never been there before and don't want to get stuck out in the cold(heat?) tailgating with a bunch of Miami fans.

Also, does anyone know what section(s) the visiting fans sit in?
 
I wanted to go, but we are moving and I just can't justify the time or the money right now. Have fun though, it will be the last time that we get to beat the Canes in the OB.
 
I will be at the game, but then again I'm a local. This time I won't have the comfort of the Tech section to keep me company but I will still be decked out in gold.

Little tip for first time OB goers, if you park in the houses around the OB take down you car flags or they could (probably would) get ripped and you car get keyed, the farther you park out the greater the chance of this happening. It helps that it will be a noon game with little fans around but there are no guarantees :ugh:
 
I'm flying down so that won't be an issue. I'm staying on campus with my brother who goes there so I was planning on taking some sort of shuttle over to the game.

Do most people tailgate on campus or around the stadium?
 
I will be there but I will be sitting with a bunch of UM folks. My brother in law went there and lives in Boca. I will be sitting with him he is a season ticket holder. I am not sure where my seats are yet.

Most people don't tailgate down there in groups. It's damn hard to do because their parking is scattered and most isn't close or in decent areas.

We went down there last time and sat in the middle of a bunch of UofM folks. We started off the game friendly enough, talking about how miserable the people at VA Tech are when you go to an away game up there. By the third quarter, the UofM drunk behind me was trying to come over the top of us to fight a pregnant wife of a GT alum who had asked him to watch his language.
 
I'll be headed down. Probably won't be tailgating, though. Have you guys gotten your tickets in the mail yet?
 
no tickets yet...in the true college road trip spirit we're probably just going to scalp them once we get there.

So I still haven't heard much on tailgating...is there going to be a group of Tech fans anywhere or am I gonna have to wear orange until the game starts to save my pretty face from a beat down?
 
I'll be there with my brother . . .

. . . we are taking the wives on a cruise next week returning to Miami Friday and going to the game Saturday. Don't have tickets but it will not be a problem to get them there. I don't expect much of a crowd. The OB is a dump. For us it will be like a Navy Seal mission. Sneak in, kill the enemy and sneak out.
