Who\'s still in for Fiesta & who\'s out

First off let's touch on who blew it: Air Force, Ole Miss, Iowa St & Kansas St no longer even have a dream. Of those still in the National Championship hunt the Big10 has the most with 4 teams. The Big 12, Big E, SEC & PAC10 still have 2 teams. The ACC has 1. That's 13 still hoping. There's only 6 undefeateds left & could be 5 non-losers at season's end.

1)Miami(6-0)-@ W Va(5-2). Big un left vs VT
2)Va Tech(7-0)-vs Temple(3-4). @ Miami
3)Ohio St(8-0)-vs Penn St(5-2). vs Minn, vs Mich
4)Iowa(7-1)-@ Mich(6-1) elimination game. @ Minn
5)Mich(6-1)-vs Iowa in elim game. @ Minn, @ O St
6)Minn(7-1)-OFF. @ Oh St, vs Mich, vs Iowa
7)NC St(8-0)-@ Clem(4-3). vs FSU
8)Okla(7-0)-OFF. vs Colo
9)Texas(6-1)-vs Iowa St(6-2). vs Tex A&M
10)Geor(7-0)-@ Ken(5-2). vs Fla
11)LSU(6-1)-@ Aub(4-3). @ Ken
12)Wash St(6-1)-@ Ariz(3-4). vs Oregon
13)Oregon(6-1)-vs SCal(5-2). @ Wash St.

Re: Who\'s still in for Fiesta & who\'s out

Georgia will fall to Auburn, Florida and possibbly Kentucky but may still wind up in the SEC championship game.

I agree that UGA will have a game on their hands, but without Cadillac, Auburn has no chance, I'd say.

Let's see... how many teams can UGA play who are missing their playmaker? Will Grossman get hurt the day before the cocktail party?

Re: Who\'s still in for Fiesta & who\'s out

Dogs play Kentucky without starting RB Musa Smith. Dogs play Kentucky without starting WR Fred Gibson. Dogs play Kentucky possibly without or at best with injured OL Jon Stinchcomb. Dogs may be getting a spat of bad luck on the injuries.

I still think the dawgs will get a surprise loss and GT will get a surprise win this season...... maybe even at the same game.

Go Jackets!

You may be right.
But my oh my how things have changed around here. We used to expect to win....now any win is a surprise.

Re: Who\'s still in for Fiesta & who\'s out

With the loss of Fred Gibson and Musa Smith and possibly Stinchcomb for this weekend's game at Lexington, I think a loss to Kentucky would not be a huge surprise.

UGA has the ability to run the table. But every game left on their schedule will be difficult. A loss to someone would not be a surprise at all.

Yep. Rex Grossman has a partial tear of the ACL in his left knee. He was noticably limping in the 2nd half of the Aub game. He thinks he will try to play through the injury, but is one 'below the waist' hit from beinng out for the season. Fla does not play Sat & he has 2 wks to rest the knee. He is 'doubtful' for the Ga game.
The Dogs are having one of those magical, once in a generation, seasons where everything just comes into place to make the magical run. Still remember Wm Bell catching the pass over the middle & running to set up the winning FG @ Vir, when he fumbles & the ball bounces straight back up into his hands & he keeps running. It really takes a magical yr, even for the very best of teams. Bowden has had only ONE unbeaten yr in his 27 @ FSU.
