Let's pretend that Chan is not currently our head coach, and that coach just retired or was hit by a bus or something. Let's pretend that we can choose from the following list and ONLY from the following list. Who's your top choice? (Current year recruiting not an issue.)

1. Chan Gailey
2. Jimbo Fisher
3. Jon Tenuta
4. George O'Leary
5. Mac McWhorter
6.
7. Jimmy Robinson
8. Pat Nix
9. Pat Sajak

I'll go with Chan, although I would support whoever is HFC here.

1. Jon Tenuta
2. Jimbo Fisher
3. #6
4. Chan Gailey (Better than an impossible candidate and the jokers below)
5. George O'Leary (Cannot and will not come back)
6. Pat Sajak (Maybe he can bring Vannah too)
7. Jimmy Robinson
9. Pat Nix (Rather hire his dad)

So what you are saying is, choose from only this list so you can make another meaningless point that operates in a vacuum outside of real world possibilities. I am reminded of your logic test. No thanks, I don't care to play.

I want Paul Johnson. #4-9 on your list wouldn't even be considerations.

(1) CCG
(2) Jimbo Fisher

Apparently (3)-(9) don't matter if the un-named sources of so-called "insiders" are correct. They do all point to Fisher if CCG leaves, and they think it very likely this is in fact what will happen.

1.) Johnson by far (sorry techbert, non legit exercise otherwise)
2.) Fisher-distant second
3.) CCG
4.) JT

Okay, for the purpose of this exercise, my point is that supporters of Paul Johnson are an irrational breed unable or unwilling to accept any other choices, and will be willing to carp on the new non-Paul Johnson coach until they bring him down, even if it brings down all of GT football.

And since I put the probability of DanR hiring PJ is roughly the same as him hiring Rosie O'Donnell, I'd say you're the one living in a vacuum outside of real world possibilities.

PS I think you sell Pat Sajak short.

We Techies Love Our Johnsons!

We hate our Balls but love our Johnsons. We are a Manley bunch.

Actually I like Fisher as a candidate and I would definately support Tenuta if he got the job. That said, I would support Pat Sajak as long as Vanna was part of the deal.

I don't understand why #6 isn't getting more consideration. When you score a TD, how many points do you get? That's right, 6.
