Why are we favored?

Virginia is hot as a firecracker and we seem to be trying to fight our way out of a cloud bank. This game should easily be expected to go the Cavs' way, but for some reason I cannot understand, we're favored by as much as those world beating Bulldogs are favored in their game.
Can someone try explaining that to me?

Sorry "buddy" your red and black colors show through
loud and clear.

Sounded like a legitimate question to me, CrackerJacket. Why the personal attack? Nothing should justify accusing someone of being a leg humper.

Hey, CrackerJacket, if wondering why we're favored over UVA makes a person a Georgia fan, I think Dave Braine, Chan Gailey, Wes Durham, Kim King, and most of the people sitting with me in the West Stands must all be Georgia fans.

By the way, since you think my question is so absurd that it rises to the level of disloyalty, why don't you try answering it. Why do you think we're favored? Obviously, you think we should be. What is your reasoning?

FOTF, what happened to your other post? Musta gotten yanked. Wonder why they did that? Either way, I hope you got my response.

As to why we're favored, I'm not sure. I think it has everyone confused, except the Las Veags bookies. I'm only hoping they know more than us (and they usually do).

Why are we favored by five over a hot Virginia team that's won six games in a row, while we've lost three out of the last four and have a host of key injuries? Someone stated that they think the Vegas bookies know more than we do, I think the reverse is closer to the truth. People around the country who don't follow Tech closly still think of Tech as the Fridge/Li'l Joe/Goose show. The reality that the Jackets really aren't that good this year is yet to catch up with the national perception of the common fan.
My hope for Saturday: that all these injuries will force Tech back to the creative offense that got us to this point(over the past few years, not just this year). Spread the field, run reverses, slants, options, keep 'em guessing on defense. Make them adjust to us. We need to control the pace of the game again. I'm still hopeful (and perhaps naive) that BOB can get it done if given the freedom to do it. We'll see. Prediction:
Tech 24- UVA 19

by the way, what's a wahoo?

It's real simple guys, it's the only way the bookies can get any action on the game. The line has nothing to do with who the bookies think will win, it's their attempt to 1) get some gambling going, and 2) even out the bets. What it means is that noone was betting UVA and they had to do something to entice them.

by the way, what's a wahoo?
