What is the Goose up to these days? Does he have a 9-5 job? Lets make him an offer. Who's with me......?

Go Jackets!

Why not? Thats what ugag did with Bobo and not only is he helping there, but he has turned into one hell of a recruitor.

Win or lose, we drink the booze!

I'm fairly sure he's taking graduate classes at Tech. I see him on campus every now and then...

You know, that is one of the best ideas I've heard of in a while. Wish I had thought of it!

Only drawback is that maybe he doesn't want to, or the AA might think he needs a bit of coaching experience first. But if he wants the job, I can't think of too many Tech guys who are more qualified.

That would be cool, but, with his intellect, I doubt that he would be interested. If he is not making mucho$$$ now, he soon will be.

If he is interested, think how much he would help qb or qb's understand offense and read defenses. Just in the dorm messing around in the evenings and stuff. What a great influence.

As far as scrambling, don't know whether he could help with that.

I would actually say no to that right now (if anybody cared what I thought).

Godsey just left the program, and it would difficult to expect AJ, Bilbo, and Camp to start to see him as anything but a friend and teammate. I would think a coach would need a certain level of authority to be able to get his message across to players. I think it's a GREAT idea to have Goose or Lil' Joe come back as a QB coach, but of course Joe is still with the Bucs, and Goose just wouldn't have the authority to be effective right now.

BuzzNazz what you say is quite logical, but that is exactly what happened with Bobby Dodd. Our coaches went up to Tennessee to scout a team the Vols were playing and we were playing next and they got to the game too late to scout the other team so our coaches went to the Tenn. coaches for a scouting report but the Vol coaches wouldn't take the time to accomodate them but did refer them to Bobby Dodd who was the leader of the Vol attack. Dodd gave our coaches such a comprehensive
report that when Coach Alex saw it he was moved to hire him. But when coach Alex retired many felt that Dodd was not the man because he fraternized with the players too much. But now we know the real story. Many times when a sharp young
man has responsibility thrust upon him he will respond accordingly.

We have a fine ex-QB on the staff...Patrick Nix...QB at Auburn and captain of the Auburn team...how could he do any worse than O'Brien has done coaching Suggs and Bilbo.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, we've got an ex-runningbacks coach coaching our QB's, and an ex-QB coach coaching our runningbacks. Seems bass ackwards to me.

The AUC had a short the other day saying he was going for a tryout with the Georgia Force (to back up Donnie Davis).

The next time you see a TV close up of our coaches upstairs in the box, you will get the answer to your question.
