Why would we schedule USF and UCF?

I realize all of our recent AD's were just passing through looking for their next job or retirement. However there is nothing to be gained by scheduling these teams.

If you’re going to schedule a home and home with a decent team then should go Power 5. No reason to go visit USF. Bama ain’t playing atUSF. UGAy ain’t playing atUSF. Hell, ööööing Duke likely is too good to play atUSF.

I would schedule Tulane, the service academies, Akron, App State, Ball State. Coastal Carolina, Hawaii, Kent State, Rice, Troy or Western Kentucky.

There's nothing wrong with playing UCF or USF. But as a 1 and done in Atlanta or a 2 for 1. Bobinsquatch saw fit to schedule a 1 and 1 against the G5. Bobinski might be gone, but his scheduling turds will linger clear through 2022 thanks to the @UCF reschedule.

Just like a few years ago when we scheduled a home and home with BYU. Never should have done that either and look how it turned out for us.

You guys have no idea how scheduling works or how hard it is to get teams to play us. CPJ doesn't want to play P5 teams. It costs a lot of money – both in guarantees and in lost ticket sales – to play Alcorn St. We don't have a lot of options.

I don’t think that’s the point. With teams like Directional Florida or MAC teams, you don’t gain anything by beating them and losing to them makes fans grab torches and pitchforks.

So USF will be a sell out in Atlanta? We should play Tulane on a regular basis due to history and location. Why can't we schedule Hawaii since Johnson coached there?

Seriously? UCF was the co-national champion last year. You definitely gain something by beating them.

You don't gain anything by playing them. Even assuming you're right there's no way in hell they would have beaten UCF last year, unless it was in yards or time of possession instead of the scoreboard.
