What is with the WR position and their dropsies? Even the lowest teams in Div 1 seem to be able to find guys that can catch and hold onto the ball. They may not run 4.3 40's, or have 40" verticals, but they do what they are supposed to do. Why don't we have any of these guys? That go to guy that you just know will catch the ball in the clutch if you hit it anywhere near him. Did having Calvin on our team for several years scare these guys away?

I think that they are just inexperienced. Bebe will be a good one, but it sounds like he does need some work on concentration fundamentals. Smith is doing fine. He has a tendency to give up position after catch which he needs to be coached out of. The loss of Earls will not help but DJ Donley should now see the field a lot more and he will super I believe.

We've got to use the tight end more over the middle like everyone else is doing to us and what happened to getting Grant the ball out in the slot? Have we even done that yet?

Im a real big Grant fan, so I feel guilty saying this, but he just won't catch that route anymore. Ever since he got his neck twisted off ay UGA a couple of years back he's been a little more cautious about taking his eyes off who ever is bringing the heat - which he should be.

Football is not worth the type of injury he could get if he gets popped that way again just the right way.

Anyway - he seems to be fine with any type of hit he has to take as long as he sees it coming, but he alligator arms any ball coming across the middle, or any one that lingers too long in the air on a screen. So - that's probably why they won't throw those two routes anymore with Grant.

Like I say - Grant is one of my favorite guys on the team, and I don't mean it in a disparaging way - but that's probably the reason.

NO SH!T!!! I thought this was going to be one of our main weapons and I don't recall seeing it being used. I almost started a thread about it but I'm glad you mentioned it.

We've done that play in every game, I think, although more than once it's been Dwyer who gets it.
