I've been around long enough to know that Gailey's record at GT is not horrible by historical standards. I also know that we had recruiting issues early on in Gaileys tenure that we are paying for now, and Gailey has for the most part corrected the recruiting issues.
However, I have also been around long enough to recognize a poorly motivated, poorly coached team - which we are much of the time.
We somehow manage to meet probable expectations and look poorly coached at the same time. We win ugly through 6 or 7 games, lost 2 or 3 close ones, and get our a$$ handed to us a few times a year. We usually end up as a middle of the road ACC team which is probably where we should be given our past recruiting, maybe ahead of where we should be (our past recruiting was way below where it should of been). It is really strange.....the only other example I can think of is Tennessee. They end up about where they should of, but look horrible doing it.
