Just to stir the pot: These 2 are very similar. Both are known as "crazy" and "big personality" guys as many of you say. Both were hired after succesful stints working for big time defensive guys (Pete Carrol vs. Tubberville and Saban) and both had what is generally considered superior talent (USC vs. Auburn and LSU) to work with. His LSU defense we hear so much about...had 4 All-Americans! That won't be the case at GT.

I realize Ole Miss is not a good school to be at, but Orgeron was also known as a great recruiter and Ole Miss is capable of being turned around by such a big personality, right?

Like I've said: there is a difference between getting in your players faces, yell and grab facemasks to pump up the boys but that ain't the same as experiencing the pressure of being the Sheriff, running a program and winning.

And our defesne if fine, especially if we can keep Tenuta, we need an offensive guy IMO.

Boom! MF'ers!

One slight difference: Muschamp was actually a defensive coordinator. I believe Orgeron's main focus at USC was recruiting.

and defensive line. I'd be happy with the guy but I think I made some valid points. I think if we hire a defensive guy, our success in the short term will hinge on who he hires as his OC...lets face it, we lost games mostly due to offense and that has been the case since Year 1 of Gailey's tenure. What will hiring muschamp due to help our abysmal QB situation? Put points on the board? I just don't see the real tangible value of Muschamp. Of course, he could be the next Mark Richt, but I'm just saying. Hiring a defensive mind when you already have a great one in JT, assuming he stays, just seems questionable.

Rad knows best of course and I'm all for whoever he hires.
