Not breaking news, but
Rumor is Will will be the next HC at GT.

Rance Gillespie will be rumored to be the QB's coach (from GA Southern)

Giff will be retained or we will try to retain him
Potentially Charles Kelly and maybe 1 other assistant will be retained.

Players WILL have a vote to keep gailey as the HC for the bowl game, or kick him out. Chan made bowl practices only on the weekends and the players are PO'd about that as that is the only time they can visit family especially with a west coast bowl.

Expect the players to vote gailey out.

Again...these are somewhat rumors...but...just wanted to give some things I am hearing.
 
Where'd you hear this? Do you have...."sources"....?
 
Well DRad has ties to Muschamp from their LSU days so their is a connection there. Not sure it's a good fit for a variety of reasons though.

If he won 8 or 9 games over a few seasons he'd leave GT in a heartbeat (as would most young aspiring hcs)

I trust you and understand these things are not 100% accurate.

Thanks for the info. it's consistent with other DRad moves and hires. didn't we hire a UGA asst as our softball coach? He's definitely making us more of a Southern school whether the academics like it or not.

thanks!!! nothing is ever 100%....but this is what I am hearing today..

I understand that he has a multiyear contract with GT independant of Gailey's, unusual for assistant coaches....
 
I trust you, and you don't need to list them. All you needed to say was, "yes, I have sources."

But, now with the info regarding the press conference coming out, I REALLY trust you. Good call.
 
So 33, is Tenuta leaving for sure, or is Muschamp going to try to be DC/HC?

I don't think Rad will allow will to be the DC and HC. Just my opinion. I fully expect Giff to remain on staff either as the DL coach or promoted to DC.

I don't think JT will be here anymore.
 
I have my doubts about Muschamp, he seems like an Ed Orgeron type hire, meaning a person with more motivational abilities and fire that actual X's and O's knowledge. I absolutelly hate that he is a mutt but I will give him the benefit of the doubt, after all the sainted Richt is a UM grad and coached at FSU.

PS: Let's keep the teams' chaplain so we can still have a chance with Brandon Thompson.

I don't see how Tenuta would want to stay. Muschamp must be at least 10 years younger than him with as much ego and brass. JT will be glad to get paid and take some time off would be my guess.

Plus, Muschamp, from what I have hear of him, thinks the defensive line is responsible for creating pressure and not blitzes.

We'll have a very younf staff with a strong Southern flair. I REALLY hope we have some minorities on staff though because GT is an urban school and one of our drawing cards and points of differentiation is being in a predominantly African American city with lots of African american students compared to other SEC/ACC schools.

Liam, Butch Brooks and Derek Moore are not football program employees they are GTAA employees. They will not be fired unless the incoming coach requests replacement, but as I understand it the HC does not have direct authority to fire them as he would say an offensive coord. At least...that is how it used to be that may have changed.

Wasn't Oregon a West coast position coach?

Wasn't Mushcamp the Defenisve coordinator at LSU when they won a NC? Didn't he grow up in GA and lives 90 miles from aTL right now? doesn't he recruit GA now?

I think it's a poor comparison.
 
Sorry to keep poking at you, 33. But, any word on OC? Will Bond be sticking around, or is this gonna be pretty much a complete overhaul?

All I have heard was Giff will be asked to stay and so will 1 to 2 others. Who those are I am not 100% but, I think it will be Charles Kelly.

As far as the rest of the staff, they probably will be brushing up their resumes.

I also think Rance will be QB's coach, not OC and QB's coach....

Minor nitpick, Moore is paid for by FCA and is there at the permission of the GTAA, correct?
