Will O\'BRIEN or ROOF be approached for the Wake job

...should it come available? Are they ready for primetime?

I for one believe O'BRIEN is outta here after the season. He took alotta looks last year, before deciding to come back, and for some reason I'm getting the feeling that he is not totally happy under the new regime.

ROOF might need a bit more seasoning, although I wouldn't be surprised if WAKE asked him.

I like O'brien a lot. He's been here since his coaching start. Done well here. Not sure that I'm happy with some things with the offense since he's taken over as OC and QB Coach. That goes with last regime as well as this one.

Could be that this regime isn't happy with him. That's not a fact, and not meant to start something. Just a twist on your comment above.

They stuck to their guns with what they were doing. Now it's paying off. This is a very good GT defense. The players have hung in there and molded together well. The players deserve credit as well. Super job.

Obrien will be gone, but not because he is unhappy. Gailey has been covering for him all year and BOB is just not getting it done. Lets face it, he has had two years and the first one was with as Senior QB. The second he has had to develop a QB and it has not happened. If the Frig were here AJ would be putting up big numbers.

Interesting take GoJacketzzz. I've been letting O'BRIEN off the hook this year because of A.J.s interceptions. I thought O'BRIEN was outstanding last season, especially as the year progressed.

However, you're one of many who are unhappy with BILL and you may be onto something. I haven't given it much thought but you're right. If the Fridge were here he'd have been in AJ's face(facemask in tow) rippin' him a new one about the interceptions. Maybe BILL just can't convey his point on the sideline the way the Fridge did

Since we are expressing opinions, I will restate mine on this issue. I don't think O'Brien will be back, no team in Division IA will pick him up, Nix will be the new OC, and Tech's offense will flourish under Nix.

Tenuta will be gone if he can get the type of job he has always desired, DC in the pro game. If he leaves, I do not think our defense will drop off. I still think Spencer will take over and be as good or better than Tenuta.

I first want to beat the crap out of UGA, but you've expressed your opinions on this topic well. To many that might sound crazy, but it makes a great deal of sense to me. Although, I do feel Tenuta will be back to lead our D next year.

Coach O'Brien is an excellent coach....therefore he really doesn't fit in with this staff.

I think that its highly probable that O'Brien will move on, if for nothing else to achieve some sense of autonomy. CG said before the season started that he would have a hard time giving up the reigns as OC.

Nix would not be a rookie, so to speak. He has been an OC before and he has worked with the players on this year' team, so I see no problem there.

Spencer has been with the program several years, but would be new as a DC. Even at that, he was well known for having tremendous success with the defense at West Georgia College. I believe his team was the top team in that division for defense the years he was head coach there.
