Will PJ have closed or open practices?

They will be closed except to special guests (recruits, coaches, parents, etc). Some people will be on a guest list, but not sure how that will work.

That is a disappointment, but it is offset by the spring game coming back.

Not sure I would expect a spring game. We only have about 55 - 58 scholarship players here this Spring. We can't have any injuries in practice to pull a spring game off. You need 44 players minimum. That leaves zero depth.

I'll be there regardless of what they call it

At signing day, CPJ said we were going to have one. It was a point of excitement for myself.

All I really care about, since I'm an out-of-towner, is that someone posts practice reports here or another free board. Last year I joined Scout's premium board just to get the practice scoop. Don't want to go that route again.

In other words....pussy ball.

I can assure you there was full contact except on QB's.

also...O'Leary did the controlled scrimmage fashion as well after his first year.

he had said lack of GT fans attendance was one reason to get rid of the official advertised spring game. He said it was embarrassing in front of recruits after they went to spring games at UGA, Alabama, Tennessee, etc. So....he just told them we did not have one.

Any word on when the Spring Game/Controlled Scrimmage will be held? Trying to plan a trip up to Atlanta and need to know asap!

Go Jackets!!

I don't know about that but I do know that it was very boring. And as others have stated O'Leary actually started the controlled scrimage trend although it got worse under Gailey (more boring).
