Will Tenuta Stay if He's Not HC?

I gather he's a little bit of an egomaniac - Will he bail out if we bring someone else in as head coach?

Don't know much about the man, but certainly respect him as a DC.

Maybe the biggest question - If he becomes HC, can he recruit offensive talent (or is it all a moot point, since assistants do most of the recruiting grunt work?). Does he have the personality such that he can go into a recruit's home and convince Mom & Dad that the Flats are the place for their darling boy to be? I gather that was probably Chan's biggest talent.

No, especially if we bring in a younger guy. I don't expect him to stay.

I share your admiration for his DC capabilities. My impression is that while his ego (which is natural) prods him toward a head coaching job, everything else about the man, from personality to demeanor to speaking characteristics and the body of political understanding that inherently goes with that position says that he isn't the guy for a relatively high profile D-1 HC position, nor will he ever be due simply to his personal wiring.

My source says that he's a younger and more all around abrasive version of Buddy Ryan, ex-genius DC for the Bears yet fatally flawed head coach of the Eagles.
