I'm in big as long as I'm not throwing good money after bad. We'll see how serious GT is with new coach...Depends. How much can we count on you for?
Baby steps. Start with investing enough to beat the other mediocre teams in our conference. UNC, UVA, VT, Duke, Pitt... They all look the same to me.
No. Football will always be more important to many more alumni at Georgia and Clemson, and academics will always be better at Georgia Tech. It will never be easier to gain admission into Clemson or the University of Georgia, than it will be Georgia Tech.
Those are the only two options? I feel like there’s a third option somewhere in there. If we are not, just shut it down. What is the point?
I agree. But I think being in The ACC is costing us good football players. I think our recruiting classes would be better if we were in The Big.We don’t have an excuse for not playing for ACCCG every year and not beating uga once every four years. A half alive team could have beaten Clemson this year. It is not some insurmountable goal. Geoff should have never been given even 3 years to make a bowl game, that’s how terrible our conference is. We’re not doing anything right at the moment so yes let’s get stupid little öööö fixed and get a real football coach, start beating these god awful ACC teams, and we’ll start being competitive with uga too. I hope J Batt realizes the task he’s been given. Our job is to give him the resources he needs to get this öööö done. It would be nice to see he’s started by posting the jobs of the admins who are in place currently.
There’s a whole lot of other issues to fix ahead of being in the ACC. We’ve been hindered by an offense that no one wanted to play for our practice against, academics, and now 3-win seasons and an interim head coach. Collins showed you could recruit top talent (Gibbs), but you have to win to keep it.I agree. But I think being in The ACC is costing us good football players.
