Will we invest to compete against UGA and Clemson?

If we could invest in a good offensive line & passing game I’d be happy

I have no idea what the difference in investment is right now, but I'd imagine we will not be able to increase our investment to their level without them also increasing their investment the same amount or more.

No. Football will always be more important to many more alumni at Georgia and Clemson, and academics will always be better at Georgia Tech. It will never be easier to gain admission into Clemson or the University of Georgia, than it will be Georgia Tech.

and UGAG will always be the sidewalk default for most growing up in GA without going to either school, just the way it is, no reason to look down on working class folks

A question for some of you guys in the know.

Do many of the former GT lettermen participate and support the football program like many of
Coach Dodd's former players did?

I often think back to the days when players like George Morris, Taz Anderson and Kim King supported
the GTAA with their wisdom and finances.

Does GT currently have an active Lettermen's group?

We don’t have an excuse for not playing for ACCCG every year and not beating uga once every four years. A half alive team could have beaten Clemson this year. It is not some insurmountable goal. Geoff should have never been given even 3 years to make a bowl game, that’s how terrible our conference is. We’re not doing anything right at the moment so yes let’s get stupid little öööö fixed and get a real football coach, start beating these god awful ACC teams, and we’ll start being competitive with uga too. I hope J Batt realizes the task he’s been given. Our job is to give him the resources he needs to get this öööö done. It would be nice to see he’s started by posting the jobs of the admins who are in place currently.

I agree. But I think being in The ACC is costing us good football players. I think our recruiting classes would be better if we were in The Big.

There’s a whole lot of other issues to fix ahead of being in the ACC. We’ve been hindered by an offense that no one wanted to play for our practice against, academics, and now 3-win seasons and an interim head coach. Collins showed you could recruit top talent (Gibbs), but you have to win to keep it.
