Wind Advisory

The only thing that worries me about the wet field is that it takes away some of our speed on defense.

Like somebody on the boards said a while back, a 4.3 turns into a 4.6 in the rain, but 300 pounds is still 300 pounds.

Miami's offense isn't too hot, though. Let's hope we can avoid the distractions and play a great game.

I was looking at the same thing. Bad weather would probably benefit us.

I just don't want to get rained on tomorrow. I can handle the wind, as long as it doesn't gust enough to blow me out of the east stands and onto Techwood.

No rain in the forecast for tomorrow - just sunny and WINDY.

I disagree. I think whatever is easier for RB throwing is best, and it ain't wet weather. Dodd knew how to win with bad weather. I don't see it as an advantage.

Man, it's really coming down right now at my house. I hope this stuff blows out of here tonight and the sun does come out a good four-five hours before kickoff.

Our field will be DRY AS A BONE. We have an astoundingly technologically advanced turf surface at BDS. It's amazing. It's turf on gap gradedsand with a geotextile encased pvc underdrained rock bed.

The only thing the last day of rain will do to our field is keep us from having to run the sprinkler system tonight.

The wind is different. I don't know if it helps us or hurts us. Given that most of our receivers are used to catching poorly thrown balls anyway, I think the wind might go in our favor.

Beutee-ful! :laugher:

Well it's 10am and I'm looking out my back window and it certainly looks like one of those "cold, grey, October days" for football. Where is the sun?

I do see that the forecast calls for am clouds and pm sun, with a high of 59 and wind 15-25 mph. We're getting ready to head out soon and, not to sound like a woman, but I'm not sure how I want to dress for today. ...that's it, layers.

[farley] "That's AWESOME!" [/farley]

Cool. Thanks.

(several band names in there as well. sting'em jackets! TURF GAP)

I got back in from my auction just barely in time to see most of the game today.

So, as far as a wind advisery, someone in our group got so happy with the win, he got to jumping around and just flat out "Broke Wind" all over the place.

Does that count as a "Wind Advisery"?
